PRINCIPAL COACH – Mei Ling Yiu

Ms. Yiu has a unique set of life experiences which makes her a very unique life coach.

She combines the best of Eastern culture and Western education.  She approaches problems in a systematic way while she offers solutions that are very creative.  Some of her traits, such as detail-oriented and seeing the big picture, are opposite.  But this approach serves her and her clients wonderfully.

Where is she from?

Mei Ling was born and raised in Hong Kong.

She can read and write Chinese.  She speaks Cantonese fluently.

She has been exposed and influenced by Eastern philosophy, such as Confucianism, Buddhism and Zen.

Where has she been?

Mei Ling received her high school and university education in California.  She is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley.

She travels back and forth between Hong Kong and the United States.  She is a global citizen.

With her experience living and working in Hong Kong and the USA, Mei Ling embraces the world with an opened mind and an opened heart.

Due to her multi-cultural background, she develops a deep appreciation for the differences among people.  She believes that everyone is uniquely created and everyone offers a gift to the world.

Mei Ling has a friendly and positive personality.  She is a great listener and easy to talk to.

What did she do with her Computer Science degree from UC Berkeley?

Mei Ling worked in Silicon Valley high-tech companies for 10+ years.  She has gained a broad range of technical expertise in the following sectors:

• Software development
• Web applications and e-Commerce
• Customer Relationship Management
• Business Intelligence & Reporting
• On-line Marketing

She is considered as a Jill of all Trades.  She has performed in many different roles:

• Manager
• Project Manager
• Software Engineer
• System Analyst

With her exceptional people skills and communication skills, Mei Ling also served as a conduit between the engineering team and the marketing, accounting, finance, operations and human resources teams.

How did she get started in Personal Development?

Mei Ling’s first life transformation seminar was Unleash the Power Within with Tony Robbins in  2006.  She was so inspired that she made it her life quest to help people to transform their lives.

Right after the seminar, she and her buddy founded the Bay Area Power Team, a local group for Tony Robbins’ graduates to connect and support each other.  The Bay Area Power Team is currently the largest Personal Development Networking Community in Northern California.  She successful transited from the Executive Producer role to an advisory role.

In 2010, Mei Ling formed a Meetup group – Personal Development Lovers – to connect like-minded people.  She holds a supportive and empowering space for people who are interested in personal development and who would like to have an extraordinary loving relationship.

What else is she involved in?

Mei Ling is an active member in the Senior Leadership & Trainer Program at Robbins Research International.  As a Senior Leader, she contributes her time and leadership skills to facilitate transformational changes of the event participants at Tony Robbins’ events.
